Supervisor of Math & Science

Bensalem Township School District seeks qualified candidates for the position of Supervisor of Math and Science. Position Goal The Supervisor of Math and Science provides leadership in developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the District's K-12 mathematics and science instructional programs. This position supports teaching and learning to ensure students meet Pennsylvania Academic Standards and demonstrate continuous growth. The Supervisor promotes innovation, critical thinking, STEM education, and data-driven decision-making while ensuring equitable and rigorous learning experiences for all students. As a member of the District administrative team, the Supervisor fosters collaboration, inclusion, and a sense of belonging throughout the school community. QualificationsMaster's degree in Mathematics Education, Science Education, Educational Leadership, or related field. Pennsylvania certification in Mathematics and/or Science required. Pennsylvania Supervisory and/or Principal Certificate required. Minimum of five (5) years of successful mathematics or science teaching experience. Curriculum development and implementation experience preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze student achievement data to improve instruction. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Expertise in K-12 mathematics, science, and STEM instructional practices. Knowledge of Pennsylvania standards, assessments, curriculum alignment, and best instructional practices. Ability to design and facilitate professional learning for educators. Proficiency with instructional technology, data analysis, and communication tools. Ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, teachers, families, and educational partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate K-12 mathematics and science curriculum and instructional programs. Ensure curriculum is vertically aligned with Pennsylvania standards and district goals. Analyze district and school data to identify trends, monitor student achievement, and reduce achievement gaps through data-informed decision-making. Collaborate with MTSS/PBIS teams to ensure mathematics and science programs are equitable, accessible, and inclusive for all learners. Oversee the selection, implementation, and evaluation of instructional materials, assessments, and educational resources. Promote STEM initiatives, inquiry-based instruction, and innovative teaching practices. Plan and deliver professional development that supports effective mathematics and science instruction. Collaborate with principals and district administrators to improve instruction, support curriculum implementation, and increase student achievement. Support new teacher induction and mentoring in mathematics and science. Provide instructional leadership through classroom observations, coaching, and constructive feedback. Participate in budget development related to mathematics and science programs. Represent the District at local, regional, state, and national professional meetings. Perform other duties as assigned by District leadership. Physical Demands The position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, computer use, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced educational environment.
