Special Education Instructor

Special Education Instructor Elementary - Rise Program (Emotional Support) Special Education - PK - 12 Certification This position is responsible for facilitating student learning in the areas of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, health, physical education, art, and/or music in accordance with the district’s curriculum framework, board policy, administrative regulations, and federal, state, and local law. Other responsibilities include creating a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establishing effective rapport with pupils; motivating pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation, in accordance with each pupil’s ability; provide direction and work cooperatively with aides, assistants, or behavioral support personnel assigned to the pupil/pupils; establish good relationships with parents and with other staff members. Instruct pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the District.
