Mathematics Learning Support Teacher FT Position GVHS Great Valley School District is seeking a student-centered, collaborative, and innovative Learning Support Mathematics Teacher to join our Special Education Department. The ideal candidate will provide specially designed instruction in mathematics to students with disabilities while working closely with general education staff. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes:Comprehensive healthcare coverage PSERS retirement benefits FSA and dependent care FSA options Life insurance and long-term disability coverage Tuition reimbursement Paid employee and family leave Responsibilities • Provide specially designed instruction in mathematics aligned to PA academic standards and individualized student needs. • Develop and implement standards-based lessons that address students' IEP goals while supporting access to the general education curriculum. • Collect, analyze, and maintain progress by monitoring data to measure student growth and inform instructional decisions. • Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations, modifications, and evidence-based instructional strategies. • Participate in IEP meetings, reevaluations, and multidisciplinary team meetings. • Develop and maintain legally compliant IEPs and related special education documentation. • Utilize a variety of instructional methods, interventions, and assistive technology supports. • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student independence and self-advocacy. • Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and needs. • Support students in developing executive functioning, organizational, and study skills necessary for academic success. Qualifications • PA Special Education Certification (PK-12 or equivalent). • PA Mathematics Certification preferred. • Demonstrated knowledge of special education regulations, IDEA, Chapter 14 requirements, and IEP development. • Experience implementing evidence-based mathematics interventions and differentiated instruction. • Knowledge of progress monitoring tools, data analysis, and instructional best practices in mathematics.
