Position Details

Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations Methacton School District, among the highest performing public school districts in Pennsylvania located in Montgomery County (a suburb of Philadelphia), is seeking a Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations. The District is comprised of approximately 4,400 students and approximately 640 employees across seven school buildings. The Director provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of the District's human resources functions and labor relations and is responsible for developing and implementing personnel practices that support the recruitment, development, performance, retention, and accountability of a highly qualified workforce. Reporting directly to the Superintendent of Schools, the Director serves as a strategic advisor on personnel matters, collective bargaining, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employment compliance, and employee relations. Requirements: Human Resources Certification; Master's degree in human resources, educational leadership, business administration, public administration, law, or a related field; Minimum of seven years of experience in human resources, labor relations, organizational leadership, or public education administration or relevant private sector experience; and relevant private sector alternatives acceptable to the Board. Responsibilities: Responsibilities generally fall into the following administrative areas including Strategic Leadership and Workforce Planning; Labor Relations and Employee Relations; Recruitment, Retention, and Employee Development; Human Resources Operations and Compliance; Financial Management and Operational Efficiency; and Executive Leadership and Governance. Salary range: $175,000 - $190,000 commensurate with experience.
