Long-Term Substitute Teacher Grade 3 Classroom Position Type: Long-Term Substitute Teacher Location: Charles Street School (K-6) Dates: December 2026 - May 2027 Application Deadline: Until Filled Reports to: Ms. Devon Boucher, Principal Questions can be directed to: Ms. Boucher • [email protected] Rate of Pay: $314.21 per diem Description: Palmyra School District is seeking a certified Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide high-quality instruction in a Third Grade classroom at Charles Street Elementary School. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of elementary education and a commitment to nurturing the social, emotional, and academic growth of young learners. Required Qualifications: Valid New Jersey Elementary Education or Preschool through Grade 3 certificate (CE, CEAS, or Standard) Criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance Mantoux (TB) test in accordance with NJDOE regulations Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons Identify student needs and provide instruction appropriate to those needs Coooperate with other professional staff members to assess and resolve learning difficulties Create and maintain a safe and structured classroom environment Partner with paraprofessionals and specialists to support student needs Monitor student progress and complete required assessments Maintain records of student eduational progress and summarize records for reporting purposes Maintain open communication with families and participate in school events Equal Opportunity Employer: Palmyra School District is an equal opportunity employer.
