TEACHER OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (LEAVE REPLACEMENT) 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR (Jan. - June 2027) WESTMORELAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL We are presently accepting applications for the following position. This position requires proper N.J. Certification. TEACHER OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (LEAVE REPLACEMENT) QUALIFICATIONS: NJ Certification: P-3, Elementary K-6, or K-8 Hold valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s) Demonstrate knowledge of effective, research-based instructional methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, instructional strategies, assessment, learning theory, and classroom management Comprehensive knowledge of the content field when responsible for content-specific instruction Demonstrate the ability to use digital equipment and instructional technology for data management, communication, and learning tools Ability to maintain a positive learning environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary Exhibit a professional and enthusiastic demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, administration, parents, and the school community Strong knowledge of Everyday Mathematics curriculum Experience implementing multisensory phonics instruction to support the development of foundational reading Salary range: $64,000 - $117,380 (Click on the following link for the full salary schedule: Fair Lawn Education Association) Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and prescription insurance The Fair Lawn Public School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
