Non Public Services - Supplementary Educational Services for non-public schools Non Public Services 1690 Stelton Road Piscataway NJ 08054 Position: Part Time Home Instructor School/Program: The Educational Services Commission of New Jersey: Non Public Services Start Date: Immediately - Pending Criminal History Clearance Qualifications: Valid New Jersey Department of Education Standard Teacher Certification. NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities or NJ Teacher of the Handicapped preferred. Ability and willingness to travel to assigned school locations. Availability to work between 12�29 hours per week. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and required documentation. New Jersey residency required within one year of the date of hire. Strong collaboration, communication, and instructional coaching skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Other qualifications the Board may find appropriate Job Description: The Educational Services Commission of New Jersey is seeking qualified Home Instructors to provide individualized instruction to students in a home-based setting. Instruction will generally be provided in the student's home, unless the parent/guardian prefers an online instructional format or an alternative arrangement is approved. The Home Instructor will deliver instruction aligned with the student's educational needs, provide academic support, and collaborate with school personnel and families to promote student progress. Special Education experience is beneficial in this position with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. Responsibilities: Maintains confidentiality. Demonstrates behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible. Reviews email communications regularly and responds, as needed. Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to reach diverse learners. Develop and implement appropriate instructional activities aligned with student needs and educational goals. Provide engaging, individualized instruction that supports student success. Maintain accurate records of instruction, student progress, and required documentation. Communicate effectively and collaborate with parents/guardians and school personnel. Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting students who are on homebound instruction.
