Position Details

Part-Time Adult Education Site Coordinator Location: Red Clay Adult Education Center 50 Hillside Road, Wilmington, DE 19807 General Purpose of Position: The Part-Time Adult Education Site Coordinator assists staff with operations, student progress monitoring, employment follow-up, career development, community partnerships, and implementation of state and federal adult education requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Position: Assist staff with daily program operations, including morning and evening site operations, student orientation, enrollment, and retention. Monitor student progress and collaborate with teachers and the high school diploma team to support student achievement and program completion. Assist students transitioning from local high schools to James H. Groves Adult High School. Maintain knowledge of Delaware graduation requirements and the CEA3 process for James H. Groves Adult High School. Support the implementation of state and federal program goals and maintain accurate student and program records. Coordinate career exploration and workforce preparation opportunities, including an annual career fair, guest speakers, workshops, and community partnerships. Follow up with students and program completers regarding employment, postsecondary education, and career training outcomes. Help students identify and access employment opportunities, postsecondary education, career training, and community services. Develop and maintain partnerships with employers, service providers, and community organizations to expand opportunities for students. Represent the school at monthly statewide meetings and other state or community events as needed. Demonstrate knowledge of the CASAS assessment system and assist with student placement testing, data collection, and analysis. Assist in providing digital learning opportunities and developing students' technology skills. Other duties as assigned. Position is contingent upon annual funding. Minimum Requirements of the Position: Bachelor's degree required. Experience in adult education. Strong attention to detail. Skilled in MS Office, Google applications and Schoology LMS. Willingness and capability to work flexible hours depending on school needs including evenings and occasionally weekends.
