Special Education Teacher (Maternity Leave Replacement - Elementary)
Job Posting: Special Education Teacher (Maternity Leave Replacement - Elementary) Start Date: 12/15/26 End Date: 5/7/27 Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve as a maternity leave replacement at the elementary level. The successful candidate will provide instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs across multiple grade levels. This role includes co-teaching in general education classrooms, providing resource room instruction, and delivering multisensory reading interventions, along with support in writing and math. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with general education teachers to plan and implement effective co-teaching models in inclusive classrooms Provide small-group and individualized instruction in a resource room setting Deliver multisensory reading instruction using structured literacy approaches Support student growth in reading, writing, and mathematics aligned with IEP goals Modify and adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse learning needs Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of performance and interventions Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and parent conferences as needed Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Qualifications: Valid Special Education Teaching Certification Experience with elementary-aged students preferred Knowledge of multisensory reading programs is strongly preferred Experience with co-teaching and differentiated instruction Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively across multiple grade levels and with a variety of student needs Application Process: Please submit your resume and a letter of interest to Daniel Patino ([email protected]), Director of Special Services, and submit your application through the district website
