Position Details

Star Hill Elementary School is currently seeking a full-time temporary Elementary Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year. QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals who are eligible or possess Elementary and Special Education certifications are encouraged to apply. All candidates must apply on-line. Successful candidates must provide evidence of successful PRAXIS II scores or a valid out of state teaching license. Out of State Candidates: An educator applying for a license in the State of DE with less than 1 year of experience will be placed on an Initial License. Applicants with one completed year of experience, but less than 4 years of experience will receive an Initial License. The State of Delaware DOE may recognize standard certificates from all other states as a means of eligibility. SALARY: In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included. PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation. All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test. Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
