Job Title: High School ELA Teacher Salary: Will discuss with Applicant Worksite(s): 930 Eastern Avenue, and unanticipated worksites within Nash County, Nashville, NC 27856 Job Description: A High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher teaches high school ELA classes to students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students’ varying needs and interests. They establish clear objectives for all lessons that guide the learning process toward the achievement of State curriculum goals. They create a classroom environment that engages and supports all students in learning using a variety of instructional materials and media. They stay abreast of current topics in ELA to keep instructional materials relevant. While evaluating student learning, they maintain appropriate expectations for all students, provide appropriate feedback, and revise instruction accordingly. They effectively communicate with students, parents, and the community. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or higher or foreign equivalent in Education or related fields. NC teaching license.
