Director of Humanities

DIRECTOR OF HUMANITIES QUALIFICATIONS: New Jersey Certificate of Eligibility as School Administrator or Principal. Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or a Humanities discipline (English, Social Studies, Media Center & World Languages). Minimum of five (5) years of successful secondary classroom teaching experience within a Humanities discipline. Demonstrated success in curriculum development, alignment with New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS), interdisciplinary program design and the facilitation of Professional Development. In-depth understanding of AchieveNJ evaluation procedures, data-driven instruction, and secondary literacy integration. Strong expertise in budget preparation, staff supervision and school leadership Required criminal history background check, proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status, and compliance with the NJ First Act residency requirement. Minimum Salary $115,000 as per the Administrator's Contract with the Board of Education.
