Anticipated 2nd Grade (PreK-4 or K-6 Certified) Long Term Substitute

Plainfield Elementary School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Long Term Substitute Elementary Teacher to join our collaborative team of educators in second grade. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structured literacy, effective math instruction, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This position requires a team-oriented professional who is passionate about student success and committed to continuous growth. Key Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction in alignment with state standards and school curriculum Implement structured literacy approaches to support all learners in reading and writing Use evidence-based math strategies to enhance student understanding and engagement Actively participate in the implementation of PBIS to promote positive student behavior Collaborate in MTSS processes, including data analysis, intervention planning, and progress monitoring Work closely with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff to ensure student needs are met Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment Qualifications: Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in PreK-4 or K-6 (or eligible for certification) Demonstrated experience with structured literacy instruction (e.g., LETRS, Orton-Gillingham, etc.) Knowledge and application of effective math instructional practices Familiarity with PBIS and MTSS frameworks Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to professional development and reflective teaching Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience teaching at the elementary level Training in data-driven instructional practices Experience using student assessment tools to inform instruction Why Join Us?
