Job Title: Teacher of Mathematics Reports To: Supervisor of Mathematics and Building Principal Job Purpose: Provides instruction in a manner that fosters attainment of student's maximum potential in mathematics. Qualifications-Required: NJ Mathematics Teacher Certification (Standard, CEAS, CE) Knowledge of the Student Learning Standards for high school mathematics Knowledge of differentiated instruction strategies, monitoring and assessing student progress Demonstrated knowledge of teaching mathematics Ability to engage and motivate high school students Ability to utilize data to provide individualized instruction plans Excellent communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent computer skills Able to speak English clearly and accurately Able to incorporate technology in daily lessons Able to pass the Criminal History Review and Sexual Misconduct/Child Abuse Disclosure Qualifications-Desired: Experience teaching high school students Experience using Google Education Familiarity with Charlotte Danielson Teaching Framework Duties/Responsibilities: Establishes high academic and behavioral expectations for all students Follows the developed math curriculum for high school students Engages students in learning Implements teaching strategies that enhance student learning Maintains assigned students and monitors their progress towards achieving academic goals Makes mathematics relevant to students Differentiates instruction to meet the learning needs and styles of students Maintains development portfolios for students Infuses technology to enhance student learning Involves students in their own learning of mathematics Working Conditions: School Building Classroom 10-Month Contract Salary range of $60,141 (BA, Step 1) to $104,512 (DOC, Step 13) Medical and Dental Benefits Membership in Teacher's Pension and Annuity Fund (TPAF) Physical Requirements: (The physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions.
