TITLE: Supervisor of Curriculum and Federal Programs CLASSIFICATION: Act 93 QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field, with appropriate supervisory certification. 2. Five (5) years or more of successful experience in curriculum, school administration, federal programs, or a related educational leadership role. 3. Possesses knowledge and skill in curriculum implementation, instructional support, data organization, program administration, and federal/state program requirements. 4. Demonstrates strong organizational, written communication, project-management, and recordkeeping skills necessary to manage multiple district initiatives, deadlines, and compliance requirements. 5. Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Director of Curriculum JOB GOALS: * To support K–12 curriculum implementation and academic program administration under the direction of the Director of Curriculum, and to administer District Federal Programs and assigned grants. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION: 1. Support implementation of K–12 curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning under the direction of the Director of Curriculum. 2. Assist with curriculum development, revision, resources, committees, teacher workgroups, and assigned instructional projects in accordance with Director-established priorities and timelines. 3. Support the Instructional Leadership Network (ILN) by preparing data and materials, coordinating logistics, tracking action items and deadlines, and supporting follow-through. 4. Collect, organize, and maintain curriculum, assessment, student achievement, implementation data, reports, templates, schedules, records, materials, and communications as directed. 5. Support implementation of the annual District Assessment and Professional Development Calendars and assist principals, IDAs, coaches, department chairs, teacher leaders, and other staff in carrying out district curriculum directives. 6. Monitor assigned curriculum and instructional initiatives and report implementation needs, delays, or concerns to the Director of Curriculum. 7. Coordinate routine administrative processes for curriculum delivery and online coursework, including enrollments, withdrawals, course assignments, rosters, access, records, reports, forms, and routine communications. 8. Coordinate routine follow-up among schools, staff, students, families, and online learning providers; refer instructional, policy, placement, significant parent/student, and programmatic decisions to the Director of Curriculum. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR FEDERAL PROGRAMS: 1. Studies all federal/state legislation, projects, and programs for the possibilities and opportunities they offer for educational grants, entitlements, and allocations offered relevant to the needs of the district. 2. Informs, interprets, and recommends to the Superintendent the effects of current and impending federal/state legislation, and prepares testimony for the Board concerning pending federal/state legislation. 3. Seeks other sources of funding (federal, state, foundations, businesses) to enhance the educational opportunities of students in the district. 4. Assists in the selection and supervision of professional personnel assigned to federal/state programs and the technology department. 5. Assists the Superintendent and central leadership in planning the utilization of funds available to schools through various federal/state programs. 6. Establishes standard practices and procedures for receiving and processing requests from school personnel for supplies and programs requiring federal/state and/or general fund monies. 7. Evaluates projects within the district including those that are state/federally funded. 8. Conducts in-service education workshops on the writing of performance objectives, the drafting of project proposals and the interpretation of specifications for federal/state funding, as well as activities to advance technology integration in the classroom. 9. Complies and maintains written records and reports on results of all federal/state projects, and disseminates this information, as appropriate, to other educational institutions, lay groups, the State Department of Education, the U.S. Office of Education, and the PA Department of Health. 10. Coordinate the writing and submission of the district comprehensive plan as well as advise building principals and committees on the development of their building-level plans. 11. Maintain accounting records of all program expenditures for final audits, including payroll processing and materials purchased. 12. Performs, as necessary, other such duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve (12) month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
