Head Drill Instructor

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to lead our drill team at Lebanon High School. The Head Drill Instructor will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program that emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and performance excellence. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for teaching, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential. Responsibilities - Develop and execute a training curriculum for the drill team, focusing on technique, precision, and performance. - Conduct regular practice sessions, ensuring all team members are engaged and improving their skills. - Create and implement choreography for performances, competitions, and events. - Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages collaboration and respect among all members. - Organize and oversee participation in competitions, parades, and community events. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding team activities, schedules, and performance expectations. - Evaluate individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback to enhance skills and teamwork. - Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices and events. - Collaborate with other school staff and community organizations to promote the drill team and its activities. - Stay updated on best practices in drill instruction and participate in professional development opportunities. Requirements - Proven experience in drill instruction, dance, or a related field, preferably in a high school setting. - Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students. - Knowledge of drill techniques, choreography, and performance standards. - Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred. - A passion for youth development and a commitment to fostering a positive team culture. - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for practices and events. - Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
