To: Principals, Staff From: Justin Toomey, Superintendent Date: September 24, 2026 Subject: Anticipated Certificated Staff Opening � for 26-27 School Year ANTICIPATED OPENING Preschool Disabled Teacher (Tenure Track Position) Effective: January 4, 2027 - June 30, 2027 Hanover Township Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for our Preschool Disabled program at Bee Meadow Elementary School. This full-time, tenure-track position is ideal for an educator who is committed to supporting the academic, behavioral, social, and functional development of students with significant learning needs in a supportive, inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction to students with multiple disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Design and implement developmentally appropriate, differentiated lessons aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards Utilize evidence-based strategies to support students' academic, communication, social, and life skills development Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, case managers, and general education staff Foster a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment tailored to individual student needs Maintain accurate student records and participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews Communicate regularly with families to promote home-school collaboration Qualifications & Requirements: Valid New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) certification or Teacher of the Handicapped certification Experience working with students with multiple disabilities preferred Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Ability to implement assistive technology and alternative communication methods as needed Salary in accordance with the established HTEA 2026-2027 Salary Guide: BA, Step 1, $64,365.00, - MA +45, Step 20, $106,595.00.
