Teacher of Mandarin/Chinese - Leave Replacement

Verona Schools is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic Teacher of Chinese (Mandarin) for a short-term leave replacement position, approximately 4–6 weeks. This is a great opportunity for a certified educator to step into an established classroom and keep students progressing in their language studies. Responsibilities include delivering daily Mandarin instruction according to existing lesson plans and curriculum, managing classroom instruction and student engagement, assessing student work and providing feedback, and collaborating with department staff to ensure a smooth transition in and out of the role. Candidates should hold a New Jersey teacher certification (CE, CEAS, or Standard) in World Languages - Chinese #1572, have prior classroom teaching experience, and demonstrate strong communication and classroom management skills. Fluency in Mandarin is required. This is a temporary, full-time position with an anticipated start date to be confirmed.
