Elementary Interventionist

Position: Elementary Interventionist Location(s): Summit Elementary & Broad Street Elementary Employment Status: Permanent/Contracted Position Certification(s) Required: Elementary PK-4, Elementary K-6, Reading Specialist, or Special Education Salary Information: Per collective bargaining agreement (bachelor's step 1: $51,907) Position Summary: The Elementary Interventionist is responsible for assessing students using a variety of assessments, then planning and delivering small group instruction in reading, math, and/or behavioral interventions that promotes academic growth and development in alignment with district standards. Training can be provided to the successful candidate. Essential Functions: The interventionist is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instructional programming that promotes student academic growth and development in alignment with district standards. The interventionist supports the whole child through inclusive, responsive practices and actively contributes to a collaborative school environment. Preference for a candidate who has, or is willing to learn: Structured Literacy Evidence-based math instruction Explicit, systematic instruction Trauma-Informed practices & SEL Frameworks Assessments, progress monitoring, and adjusting targeted instruction Evidence-based intervention programs The Butler Area School District requires all new hires to be dual certified in a second subject area, or to become dual certified within one year of employment. The district will reimburse employees for costs associated with obtaining an additional certification.
