TRENTON BOARD OF EDUCATION Trenton Public Schools is seeking certified Special Education Teachers for multiple districtwide opportunities. We are especially interested in candidates qualified to teach secondary Mathematics, Science, and English/ELA. Position Type: Full-Time (10-Month Employee) Salary Range: $71,525�$117,475 annually Benefits: Eligible for Medical, Prescription, Dental, and enrollment in the applicable New Jersey State Pension Program Union Affiliation: Trenton Education Association (TEA) QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Valid New Jersey Teacher Certification or eligibility for the appropriate certification. New Jersey Certification Requirements: Candidates must hold the appropriate New Jersey Special Education certification. For secondary-level assignments, candidates must hold Students with Disabilities (2475) in conjunction with an appropriate secondary content-area endorsement, including: English (1410) Mathematics (1900) Biological Science (2210) Chemistry (2270) Earth Science (2220) Physical Science (2240) Physics (2260) All certificated positions require a valid certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE). Applicants must upload proof of the appropriate certification for the position at the time of application. REPORTS TO Building Principal PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and implements written instructional plans that meet the diverse needs, abilities, and interests of all students. Creates and maintains a classroom environment that supports learning and is developmentally appropriate. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives aligned with those goals. Demonstrates a commitment to the district's philosophy of education and its instructional goals and objectives through instructional practices and professional conduct. Establishes and maintains positive, cooperative relationships with colleagues, students, and families.
