School Social Worker

PROGRAM: Department of Special Education POSITION (S): School Social Worker REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university New Jersey Standard School Social Worker Certification PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively participates in CST meetings to determine eligibility and develop of Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs). Conducts assessments and diagnostic examinations of students for the purpose of identifying learning or social interaction issues. Performs counseling services and case management. Assists students and teaching staff in implementing students' behavior management plans. Coordinates with outside agencies, organizations and institutions, including state and federal authorities as needed. Other duties as assigned by the District Superintendent or Director of Special Education as the Superintendent's designee.
