Athletic Trainer
Athletic Trainer Great Valley High School Great Valley School District is seeking an Athletic Trainer responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to athletes and physically active individuals. This position focuses on injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and safe return-to-play activities. The Athletic Trainer works closely with physicians, coaches, athletes, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to promote athlete health, safety, and performance. • Work cooperatively with the coaching staff in establishing injury prevention programs for our athletes. • In conjunction with the Athletic Director establishes strategies for the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries for the athletes and staff in our school community. • Apply injury-preventing devices such as strapping, tape, and braces. • Work in accordance with local physicians to help rehabilitate our injured athletes. • Maintain an organized and structured training room. • Supervise and instruct student trainers, staff members and coaches in athletic training procedures. • Assist coaches with weight training programs for our athletes. • Provide coverage for all home athletic games and practices during the fall, winter and spring seasons. • Provide assistance and treatment for all visiting athletes when their school's trainer does not travel with the team. • Attend conferences/workshops to keep abreast of the latest techniques in injury prevention and rehabilitation. • Maintain current NATA and Pennsylvania certification and licensure. • All other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. • Assume other duties assigned by the Principal. 2025-2026 Salary Schedule (contract currently under negotiation for the 2026-27 school year).
