Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Percent Employed: 100% Months of Employment: 10 months, 8 hours a day/215 days Position Type: Continuing Level of Benefits: Full benefits Pay Range (Permanent positions): State Teacher Salary + [8.5% - 16% local supplement] Position Purpose: Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to plan, instruct, and organize instructional environments which help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development. Employee may coordinate and direct the activities of regular education and exceptional children teacher as it relates to deaf and hard of hearing students. FOCUS ON MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL AGED STUDENTS Minimum Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree (click here for more info about Master's pay) Alternative Licensed Pathways: If you are offered a position with BCS, our licensure specialist can share information on the 1-year Emergency License and later work with you to convert this to a Residency License.
