Position Details

POSITION TITLE: Special Education Teacher(Autistic Support) REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Director of Special Education TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 contracted days (beginning 2026-2027 school year) QUALIFICATIONS: PA Special Education Certification (Secondary) or Special Education K-12 Highly Qualified Teacher Understanding of: Applied Behavioral Analysis, Functional Behavioral Assessment, and Positive Behavioral Support Plans Experience with students with Special Needs ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Completion of IEP and Reevaluation documentation Ability to provide one to one and small group social skills instruction Ability to meet deadlines Ability to collaborate with staff across building setting, BCBA, and administrators Ability to develop individualized student goals based on needs Progress monitor goals Provide small/large group instruction Collaboration and support provided to team regarding student academic, functional, and behavior progress Knowledge of secondary level learners PRE-EMPLOYMENT PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS: • PA State Police Clearance (Act 34) • Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151) • FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114) • School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test) • PDE 6004 Form (Act 24) • Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s) (Act 168) EEO-M/F/V/D More information can be found here: http://www.upsd.org/Page/2295 Position Type:Full-Time Salary:$54,881 to $116,520 Per Year
