Non-Public Nursing Services - CH 226 nursing services for non-public Non-Public Nursing Services 1690 Stelton Road Piscataway, NJ 08854 Position: Nonpublic Chapter 226 School Nurse Start Date: Immediately- Pending Criminal History Clearance Classification: Part-Time (under 30 hours per week) Location: Various Nonpublic School Sites in Middlesex, Mercer, Ocean, Burlington and Somerset Counties Organization: Educational Services Commission of New Jersey (ESCNJ) Position Overview: The Nonpublic School Nurse provides health services to students enrolled in nonpublic schools through New Jersey's Chapter 226 Nonpublic School Nursing Program. The Nonpublic School Nurse is assigned to one or more nonpublic school sites based on each school's grant funding allocation and is responsible for delivering the health services required under the program. These include screenings, student health recordkeeping and if funding is available, emergency care. The Nonpublic School Nurse works collaboratively with nonpublic school administration, and ESCNJ supervisory staff to ensure eligible students receive the services their school is entitled to under the grant. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse seeking meaningful work with school-age children on a flexible, part-time schedule that follows the school calendar. Responsibilities: Conduct mandated health screenings including hearing and scoliosis examinations Maintain accurate student health records in compliance with state requirements Monitor and report immunization compliance to appropriate health authorities Support students with chronic health conditions and coordinate with families and school staff Provide emergency nursing care during assigned hours Requirements: Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing CPR/AED Certification Experience working with school-age children preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently across multiple building environments Schedule & Compensation: Part-time, under 30 hours per week Flexible scheduling developed in collaboration with assigned school site Positions available across New Jersey Benefits: DCRP Pension Hourly Rate: $35 Hourly as Needed
