PBIS Specialist - IS

South Fayette Township School District 3680 Old Oakdale Road McDonald, PA 15057 (412) 221-4542; Fax (724) 693-2883 www.southfayette.org PBIS Specialist Reports to: Building Principals Job Goal: To support the effective implementation of school-wide positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS) by modeling research-based methods for teaching, reinforcing, and correcting student behavior during lunch and recess Qualifications: Strong knowledge of PBIS system and implementation process and goals Effective communication with a variety of stakeholders Model of strong student-centered decision-making skills Ability to serve as a leader, as well as a positive and collaborative member of the PBIS team Currently a South Fayette certified teacher Performance Responsibilities: Actively support PBIS expectations in the cafeteria and/or on the playground Plan and facilitate a monthly PBIS training session/data review with student monitors Provide required documentation of PBIS practices during lunch and recess Set PBIS goals and plan rewards and celebrations related to positive student behavior Terms of Employment: EPR rate Must commit to a minimum of one school quarter Agree to forego daily duty free lunch while fulfilling this role Evaluation: Building principals will provide an evaluation based on this job description.
